How do I become a Private Equity Investor?

I am going onto the 11th grade. I am interested in being a Private equity investor. What are the requirements? What College do you recommend?

  1. Only two requirements are needed: 1. A lot of money. (And I mean a lot of money -- like tens of millions of dollars) 2. Business acumen.

  3. I am not sure about what you mean with your question. If you mean that you want to actually bankroll private projects then the answer about needing millions and millions of dollars is absolutely correct. If you mean that you want to be involved in the private equity business like being the venture capital loan officer at a bank, then go the best accredited 4 year BS or BA college program that you can afford. Plan on adding at least an MBA and possibly a PhD after you start your first job. Unless you have inside connections, these are not entry level positions.
